57 Festivals was formed in 2009 by sibling team Will & Cass Briggs who together produce large scale comedy events and manage the comedy programming for other arts festivals and organisations. The pair were introduced to the world of comedy by their late great stepdad Malcolm Hardee the comedy promoter and exhibitionist widely regarded as the Godfather of alternative comedy.

Growing up as they did the duo felt well equipped to combine their knowledge of comedy and events with their love of festivals like Edinburgh Fringe and Glastonbury. The result was Greenwich Comedy Festival, an event that presents meticulously curated comedy shows in a full-on festival setting under the stunning backdrop of Royal Greenwich.

Each summer the festival grows in reach and reputation and in less than a decade has established itself as a key date in the capital’s cultural calendar. In 2011 the team set their sights to the South West and launched the equally successful Bristol Comedy Garden, following the same format as Greenwich but exchanging maritime grandeur for the Georgian elegance of Queen Square in the centre of Bristol. This gem of a festival grows in notoriety each year and will be one of only three events invited to return to this enviable location in the heart of the city next summer.

We work with a dedicated team of event professionals and reputed suppliers to deliver unbeatable comedy in stunning surroundings, our events are slick, aesthetically inspiring and more often than not funny.
